Weekend Warfront: Forged in Blood

After a couple weekends of repeats, we’re back to a new one!

Let’s see what they have in store for us this weekend.

The legendary workshop of Logrin Olgrumson has been unearthed, promising both riches and badly needed weapons to the faction that can maintain control of the Forge.  Now both Order and Destruction forces converge upon the ancient workshop, both sides determined to claim the Dwarf horde as their own.

(First off, /facepalm @horde.  Horde is a group or a crowd.  Hoard is an accumulation of something as described here.  Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.)

Forged in Blood – Weekend Warfront (May 7th – 10th, 2010)

The Logrin’s Forge scenario is open again for characters of all levels!  Take the Hammer and Anvil for your realm!  Carve a bloody swath of destruction through your enemies and emerge victorious from the Forge with a new and unique title!

  • Basic Reward – Level-appropriate Healing potion

  • Advanced Reward – Level-appropriate Molotov potion

  • Elite Reward – Vanquisher’s Boon – Buff that awards extra Emblems from Scenarios based on the score.

The Live Event Herald for Order is named Kadius Kridt and is located at (26776, 30868) by the Flight Master in Altdorf.  The Live Event Herald for Destruction is named Kralf Hexenkrieger and is located at (29455, 32368) by the Flight Master in the Inevitable City.

General Information

Forged in Blood started on May 7th and will continue until May 10th.  The task list is the same regardless of Tier/Realm.

There is a bonus to Experience and Renown while in this Scenario, making it the place to be this weekend!

Note: I have pulled some amazing renown gains out of the Weekend Warfront scenarios (ie: well over 10k for multiple scenarios), so it’s definitely worth it to queue for this scenario simply for that 10% bonus.

The map is pretty straightforward.  No mounts allowed, so get used to walking.  The guards have been moved from the ledge to the floor, so be careful where you walk.

Weekend Event Tasks

  • Participate in the Logrin’s Forge scenario 25 times
  • Capture Logrin’s Hammer 10 times
  • Capture Logrin’s Anvil 10 times
  • Defeat 100 enemy realm players
  • Complete all Forged in Blood tasks

Fairly straightforward task list.  Click-captures mean those are solo-tasks sadly.  I also have to shake my head at the 25 runs and 100 kills.  So one only needs average 4 kills per scenario to complete the event?  They don’t think much of us apparently.  lol

On a positive note, they’ve put up a feedback thread about the Weekend Warfronts in general.  So, go here, follow the guidelines and post a reply and hopefully we’ll get both Task Lists and Rewards that make sense in future WWs.

    Woot! New title : The Forgelord

    I was going to say something else… but running Logrin’s Forge 25 consecutive times is a little mind-numbing… so I forgot what it was. Oh wait… That was it!

      I got 3/4 tasks done in 7 runs. Knocked out 3 more just for an even 10 and then stopped for the day. I’ll try to get the other 15 over the weekend. If it keeps being the ONLY scenario popping on Iron Rock, I’ll get it easily enough.

    “The guards have been moved from the ledge to the floor, so be careful where you walk.” To what floor? To me they are in the same place they have always been. Guess this is some extra goodie US players get.

      I remember them being up on the ledges for some reason yet now they’re on the ground around the drop out points. Maybe it’s just my memory…

      They are still on ledges. The scenario would be much much better if they were on the ground as it’s pretty impossible to pull guards (and get some breathing space if you are being spawn camped).

      Guards were on the ground on Friday and Saturday, but on Monday (after network maintenance O.o) they were on the ground. Nice 🙂

    The guards used to be on the ledge only but now their on the ground. Also don’t know if any of you noticed yet, but they added mine shaft elevators next to both BO’s which were not there previously. Their not interactable but they add the the scenery. They must have been working on Logrims while its been away.

      I saw those min shafts and was wondering … remember when you could get punted off the ledge towards the lava? There’s ground down there and you can survive. Wonder if those elevators would be a way back up … assuming next time we see Logrin’s they allow us to punt people again.
